The Westridge Residence replaces a 1980s solar home on the property that did not take advantage of the sweeping mountain views and outdoor living space. The main living area of the new home has a roof that slopes up with the topography of the site and opens at each NW corner to allow perceived vistas beyond the plane of the wall. There are three patios and one upper deck to allow for indoor/outdoor living in a variety of climatic conditions. At the request of the client, the children’s rooms and playroom are visually and acoustically separate from the adult areas. Green building practices and materials will be used during construction, including a SIPs panel roof and radiant floor heat.
